Parappu Thogayal



Parappu Thogayal is like by many rural tamilians. Its easy and very economic and tastes great at the same time. Thats leads this cuisine to its popularity.



Ingredients:
1/4 cup Tur Dal
2 Red Chillies
1/4 fresh Coconut (grated)
2 tsps Cooking Oil
Salt to taste .



Method:

  1. In a hard bottomed pan, pour in the oil, and fry the tur dal and red chillies, till the dal turns colour.
  2. Grind the above with salt, coconut and a little water.

Making Time: 10 minutes

Serves: 4 persons.

Shelflife: 1 day.

Note: This parappu thogayal is either taken along steamed rice or with idlis. Its very simple and easy to prepare.
